Monotron Online

Synthgear.com has a nice online Monotron synth you can post on your own website. Sounds nice but not like the real thing ;)

Use your Novation Launchpad as monome!

Did you know that you can use your launchpad for more that just controlling Ableton Live? With a monome emulator script you can use this piece of gear as a Monome! Not familiar with monome? Take a look at YouTube.

Arduino

The arduino is a low entry programmable development board. It is't too hard to learn but some basics of programming is perhaps preferable. It is really easy to learn and not too expensive (you can get your own for 25€).

Misheard lyrics & songs you can reverse

To fill up my new blog I decided to add some links that may interest you when youre bored:

Backmasking is recording secret messages backwards on songs. So if you play the song backwards one can hear the message. It also happens that some songs have unintentionally messages when played backwards. For some nice examples and with audio samples check:

Korg Monotron

Recently I bought a Korg Monotron synthesizer. Witch has a fully analogue circuit. And it also has the filter (only low pass)circuitry of the legendary korg MS-20! I can tel you; it sounds petty asome!

Because de Monotron has an analogue circuit it is not so hard to hack it. My intention is to add an MIDI input to the device so I can control it with my sequencer/DAW.
